Fox News commentator Geraldo Rivera suggested the reason why former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly found himself dealing with sexual misconduct allegations was because he was unloved.
“The problem is the guy never had a good date,” Rivera said on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show.” “That’s his problem. He never had someone who really loved him.”
Sexual misconduct allegations ultimately got O’Reilly ousted from his prime-time gig at Fox News and “cost him tens of millions of dollars.”
“I feel sorry for the guy. And I have to remember that during my hard times where I faded from stardom, he still would put me on his show every week,” he sympathized with his former co-worker.
O’Reilly reportedly paid a $32 million settlement for sexual harassment allegations just a few months before he was canned from his position at Fox News in the spring of 2017.
