The same weapon was used in four recent shootings at D.C.-area military facilities, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, spokeswoman for the Prince William County police.
Ballistics testing has linked a Friday shooting at the National Museum of the Marine Corps to three other incidents — one at the Pentagon, one at a Chantilly Marine Corps recruiting center and a previous shooting at the museum. Authorities had previously linked the first three shootings.
Police are also investigating a shooting discovered Tuesday morning at a Coast Guard recruiting center in Woodbridge, but ballistics testing in that case has not been completed.
