Clinton leading Trump by double digits in battleground states

Hillary Clinton has big leads over Donald Trump in key battleground states, according to a new poll released on Wednesday.

The Ballotpedia battleground poll shows the former secretary of state leading the presumptive GOP nominee 51-37 in Florida, 45-41 in Iowa, 50-33 in Michigan, 48-38 in North Carolina, 46-37 in Ohio, 49-35 in Pennsylvania and 45-38 in Virginia.

With all the states factored together, Clinton holds a double-digit lead Trump in swing states, 48-37. Once Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson is thrown into the mix, Clinton still leads Trump, 44-34, and Johnson gets 13 percent of the vote.

The poll also tested the same states with a candidate other than Trump leading the GOP ticket, to determine whether how averse voters are to choosing Trump. With Kasich as the Republican nominee, the Republican ticket had a slight lead over Clinton in the states, and with House Speaker Paul Ryan on the ticket, the two parties were tied.

Ballotpedia surveyed roughly 600 voters in each of the states from June 10-22. Each poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
