Management shake-ups continued at Constellation Energy as the company announced three key promotions Friday, part of its plan to overhaul its financial leadership ahead of a $4.7 billion merger with Mid-American Energy Holdings Co.

The company said Reese Feuerman, currently Constellation’s controller and chief accounting officer will add the responsibilities of treasurer. Feuerman will also oversee financial planning and analysis for the company.

Bryan Wright, vice president and controller of subsidiary Constellation Energy Resources will take over that position at the parent company.  Kevin Hadlock, currently vice president of investor relations and financial planning and analysis, will be senior vice president and chief financial officer of subsidiary Baltimore Gas and Electric.

They will report to Constellation Chief Financial Officer Jack Thayer, who was named to that post last month.

“Reese, Bryan, Kevin and Chris are extremely talented finance professionals, with the experience and capabilities necessary to transform our finance organizations as they meet the changing needs of our company,” Thayer said in a statement.

No current employees will exit to make way for the promotions, Constellation spokesman Rob Gould said. Hadlock’s position is new, and Feuerman and Wright’s promotions represent internal movement, he said.

The moves come less than two weeks after Constellation Executive Vice President Thomas Brooks and Senior Vice President George Persky exited the company. The two were the architects of Constellation’s energy trading business, which faltered in mid-September amid concerns over its liquidity.

Kathleen Hyle was named to the post of chief operating officer and would lead the company’s new management team, Constellation said.

Thayer was promoted to chief financial officer a month ago to replace John Collins, who remains with the company as an advisor on its merger with Mid-American.
