Even after sweeping all five primaries Tuesday night, Donald Trump still thinks the system is a scam and the Republican establishment is out to get him.
“To a certain extent the RNC inherited this, but the delegate system is a scam, it’s a scam,” Trump said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday morning after winning the primaries in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Delaware.
After winning all of the Keystone State with 57 percent and winning all of the state’s counties, Trump will likely go on to win all of the state’s unbound delegates, but the businessman remains skeptical. He argued that many of his greatest victories aren’t made public because of the media.
“Now that being said, in Pennsylvania I did really well because I got the 17 (statewide delegates) plus some more that I don’t think that got reported. And they have great chairman there, Rob Gleason. Really great leader. And I have many delegates in Pennsylvania that people don’t know about because you people haven’t been reporting on it,” Trump added.
He also contested that “lyin’ Ted Cruz” will attempt to steal some delegates from him and surmised that many of the Texas senator’s aides are currently out “wining and dining” delegates in order to get them to switch sides.
