Justin Trudeau sends condolences with Trump after Las Vegas mass shooting

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau spoke with President Trump Monday to offer his condolences following the mass shooting in Las Vegas, which has taken the lives of at least 58 people.

“President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau reiterated the close ties between the United States and Canada, commended the resilience of our communities, and offered to cooperate in the ongoing investigations,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Trump also expressed solidarity with Canada to Trudeau, following a violent attack in Edmonton, Canada, over the weekend, where a man was accused of stabbing a police constable and running down four pedestrians with a truck.

Stephen Craig Paddock allegedly opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel Sunday night upon concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. The shooting left 58 dead and at least 515 wounded.

The suspect was found dead in his hotel room by law enforcement after the shooting.
