Donald Trump Jr. unloads on Peter Fonda for suggesting Barron Trump be caged with pedophiles

Donald Trump Jr. tore into Peter Fonda Wednesday after the “Easy Rider” actor suggested that Barron Trump should be taken from first lady Melania Trump and detained in “a cage with pedophiles” in response to President Trump’s family separation policy.

“You’re clearly a sick individual and everyone is an internet badass but rather than attack an 11 year old like a bully and a coward why don’t you pick on someone a bit bigger. LMK,” Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter, sharing Fonda’s now deleted tweet.

Trump Jr. also pushed his support of a boycott of Fonda’s forthcoming film for Sony Pictures Classics, “Boundaries,” set for theatrical release on June 22.

“I didn’t think it was possible but @iamfonda found a way to be as disgusting as his sister Jane was when she stood with the enemy in Vietnam,” he added, referring to Fonda’s sister, actress and fitness mogul Jane Fonda. “Doesn’t get more vile than wishing for a young boy to be raped by pedophiles. There’s a special place in hell.”

Peter Fonda wrote in his original tweet, “We should rip Barron Trump from his mother’s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles and see if his mother will stand up against the giant asshole she is married to.”

“90 million people in the streets on the same weekend in the country. Fuck,” he continued, before criticizing Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen over her role in enforcing the Trump administration’s zero tolerance policy toward illegal immigration.

Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Melania Trump, said Wednesday that the Secret Service was aware of the tweet.

“The tweet is sick and irresponsible and USSS has been notified,” she said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
