O’Malley, two others honored by Wilson Center

Gov. Martin O?Malley and two Baltimore leaders will be honored tonight by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars of the Smithsonian Institution during a dinner at the Marriot Waterfront Hotel.

O?Malley and Robert Fischell, an inventor of biomedical devises, will receive the Woodrow Wilson Award for Publish Service. Stephen Geppi, president and chief executive of Diamond Comic Distributors Inc., will receive the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship during the reception and dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Aliceanna Street hotel.

“The city of Baltimore has benefited significantly from all three honorees? extensive community involvement and long records of service, and I am very please the Center has an opportunity to recognize their contributions with these awards,” Lee H. Hamilton, president and director of the Washington, D.C.-based Woodrow Wilson Center, said in a news release announcing the awards.
