‘Write a cookbook’: The View hosts want Marianne Williamson ‘off the stage’

The View hosts roasted spiritual guru Marianne Williamson as crazy and said she should have not been on the Democratic presidential debate stage.

“I was embarrassed for her,” host Sunny Hostin said about Williamson.

“Just because you can doesn’t mean you should,” Hostin said about Williamson running for president. “She probably shouldn’t run.”

Election 2020 Debate
Democratic presidential candidate author Marianne Williamson speaks during the Democratic primary debate hosted by NBC News at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Thursday, June 27, 2019, in Miami.

Host Meghan McCain made fun of a 2011 tweet from Williamson claiming the “power of your mind is greater than the power of nuclear radiation.”

“Good thing she wasn’t in charge of the Chernobyl disaster,” McCain repeated to the crowd as they laughed. “That’s crazier than Trump.”

“I don’t think it’s funny because she’s taking up this valuable space,” host Ana Navarro said. “Write your book, sell your speeches, go do whatever you do. Write a cookbook, whatever I’ll buy it. But for the love of god, let’s focus on defeating Trump and get off the stage.”

Williamson is a motivational speaker and a friend of Oprah Winfrey.
