Man convicted of three more rapes

A serial rapist on Monday admitted to attacking three teenage girls in vacant alleys in the Baltimore area.

Erskine Jones, 31, told a Baltimore City judge he pulled one girl ? 14 years old ? into an alley off St. Paul Street and raped her at gunpoint in December 2003.

He raped a 17-year-old girl on the ground behind Frederick Douglass High School after threatening her with a gun in August 2004.

A third girl, 16, was assaulted in an alley on East 20th Street after she was snatched off her front steps in May 2004.

“Don?t scream,” Jones told the girl, according to a police report. “I have a gun with a silencer, so the police won?t hear.”

In all, Jones, 31, has now pleaded guilty to raping four females, including a 19-year-old he was convicted of assaulting on March 20.

Circuit Judge Lynn Stewart sentenced him to 50 years in prison for the crimes.

In each case, the collection of DNA evidence helped police as they searched for Jones.

Each victim also positively identified Jones as her attacker, prosecutors said.
