‘Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself’: Quotes of the Week

The past week saw Rep. Liz Cheney (R) lose her primary in Wyoming after heavy campaigning against her from former President Donald Trump and most of the Republican establishment. Elsewhere, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) admitted Republicans might not be able to win back the Senate. “Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her great and very decisive WIN in Wyoming. This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs. Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now. Thank you WYOMING!”
– Former President Donald Trump gloats about ‘sanctimonious’ Cheney leaving.

“American freedom is under attack as never before. Big media, big government, even big businesses have locked arms to enact a pernicious woke agenda designed to control the American people and destroy the American dream.”
– Former Vice President Mike Pence at an event at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire.

I consider these accusations to be very serious, and though I consider the demand for a drug test unjust, for my own legal protection and to clear up any doubts, I have taken a drug test today, the results of which will come in about a week.”
– Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin says she has taken a drug test after videos emerged of her partying.
