Suspect in Edgewood brawl arrested

The seventh person charged in this past year’s 50-person brawl in Edgewood was arrested in Baton Rouge, La., but when he will be transported back to Harford is uncertain, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Otis Lavelle Huff, 18, was arrested Friday morning on local Baton Rouge charges, said Sgt. David Betz, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

Huff, whose mug shot and reported crimes were published several times in The Examiner, is wanted in Harford on attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault in connection with a brawl that occurred on the 1900 block of Eloise Lane.

The fight broke out over a relationship between two residents and left one man paralyzed. Huff’s mother, Celestine Huff, has been arrested in connection with the brawl, Betz said. – Mike Silvestri
