Hillary: Iowa ‘Obviously Exhausting, it Takes a Lot of Concentration’

Hillary Clinton revealed this morning on ABC News that she finds campaigning in Iowa “exhausting” and that “it takes a lot of concentration.”

Clinton made the remarks in response to a comment from ABC Robin Roberts about Clinton campaigning in all 99 Iowa counties. Clinton correct Roberts, saying in fact she hasn’t visited all of Iowa, and said,

“I’ve covered a lot of ground and I sure have met many thousands of people, and have really learned so much. That’s the best part of this. It’s obviously exhausting, it takes a lot of concentration, but what keeps me going are the stories they tell me.

“There’s something so intimate, at least in my experience, because I actually try to listen to people and hear what’s on their minds. When someone tells you about the open heart surgery their granddaughter had to have and how they couldn’t afford it without affordable health care … that sticks with me. I think that he months I spent here listening to Iowans has really made a better candidate and I think it will make me a better president.”
