A man was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Seat Pleasant early Saturday.
Prince George’s County police said a motorist alerted authorities to an unresponsive man in the roadway near Addison Road South and Central Avenue at about 4:40 a.m.
The 34-year-old man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name hasn’t been released because his family is still being notified.
The man was hit while trying to cross Addison Road South, police said. He was not in a crosswalk or intersection.
Police are still looking for the striking vehicle, which authorities said was traveling north on Addison Road South and fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-731-4422 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
