In an unprecedented move, the Central Intelligence Agency unleashed a stream of tweets Sunday afternoon for Twitter users to relive the 2011 raid and killing of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
“To mark the 5th anniversary of the Usama Bin Ladin operation in Abbottabad we will tweet the raid as if it were happening today. #UBLRaid,” CIA wrote.

At 1:25 p.m. EST, the federal agency began sharing the moment by moment details of final steps that resulted in the violent death of the leader of al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks that killed around 3,000 Americans. The Twitter storm will continue throughout the afternoon in correlation with the amount of time the raid took.
The team trained on a life-size replica of the compound.
Following the mission’s completion, President Obama addressed the nation late that Sunday night to share the news.
