Construction of S. Charleston tech center

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Construction of a $15 million technology center is under way in South Charleston.

Media outlets report that the Advantage Valley Technology Center is being built at the West Virginia Regional Technology Park. The project is expected to be completed in about 18 months.

The technology center will house programs for Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College, Mountwest Community & Technical College and Bridgemont Community & Technical College.

Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College has moved from West Virginia State University’s campus in Institute to another building in the technology park.
