Actor Mark Wahlberg and his wife released a motivational Palm Sunday message for fans during the coronavirus outbreak.
Wahlberg and his wife released a video on Twitter as Holy Week began for Christians around the world. Many in the United States will be unable to attend services for the most important Christian holiday in order to abide by social distancing rules, but the Hollywood star encouraged fans to “stay strong.”
“Happy Palm Sunday, everybody,” the actor said in a video posted Sunday. “Just thinking about everybody. We still have faith, and we have each other, so let’s stay strong. God bless you guys. Love you.”
His wife, model Rhea Durham, added, “God bless you.”

Wahlberg has been open about his belief in God and his Catholic faith, saying in February that he starts each day with prayer.
“Faith is the most important thing. That’s how I start my day every day. By the time I open my eyes, before I turn the light on or do anything, I am kind of saying my prayers. I go in my prayer room and take that 15 or 20 minutes to express how grateful I am,” he said in a recent interview.
The father of four added, “When I started focusing on my faith, good things started happening for me in my life. In my teens, I said, ‘Okay. The only way to do this is the right way. You can’t cut corners in life. You might get away with it here or there, but ultimately, if you want anything with real substance, with a real solid foundation … you have to work.'”
