Stephanie Grisham bruised in scuffle with North Koreans as Trump meets Kim at DMZ

New White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham got into a scuffle with the North Korean security as President Trump held a historic meeting with Kim Jong Un at the Korean demilitarized zone on Sunday.

CNN’s Jim Acosta reported that a source said Grisham got bruised in the scrum as she tried to move members of the White House press pool into position to cover the historic event.

It was “an all out brawl,” Acosta’s source said.

CNN’s Allie Malloy added that Grisham could be heard shouting “Go! Go!” as she made a path for reporters.

Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs shared a screenshots from a video feed, including of the scramble in the Freedom House where Trump and Kim moved to hold talks, saying the North Korean security was “overzealous” and led to situation that that came to “body blows.”

Just last week it was announced Grisham, 42, the spokeswoman for first lady Melania Trump, had been picked to replace Sarah Sanders as White House press secretary.

Trump made history on Sunday by sharing a handshake with Kim at the Korean demilitarized zone and becoming the first sitting U.S. president to cross the border that divides North and South Korea. “Stepping across that line was a great honor,” Trump said after crossing back into South Korea with Kim where they then had private talks for about an hour.
