The Committee of 100 on the Federal City, an 88-year-old nonprofit focused on preserving Washington, D.C.’s architectural heritage and natural beauty, is accepting nominations for its 2011 Vision Awards. Past winners have included Arthur Cotton Moore for his 10-year effort to restore Maryland Avenue Southwest — one of the key components of Pierre L’Enfant’s original plan for the city. Applications must be completed by April 15. More information can be found at committeeof100.net.
