Foreign students can remain in the United States to continue their online courses following a move by the Trump administration to rescind a policy that would have stripped their visas.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement was met with criticism after the administration decided that students taking online-only courses don’t need to be physically in the U.S. to continue their education. The administration was also met with a number of lawsuits over the matter, including one brought by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and agreed to rescind the order on Tuesday.
The development was announced by Judge Allison Burroughs, a federal district judge in Boston who was overseeing the Harvard and MIT case.

A federal judge in Massachusetts just announced that the government and plaintiffs reached a resolution, @JuliaEAinsley reports.
