Rapper Cardi B ranted Thursday about how much she’s paying in taxes and demanded answers on where the money is going.
“So you know the government is taking 40 percent of my taxes,” she said in a video posted on social media. “Uncle Sam, I want to know what you’re doing with my fucking tax money.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper ripped the lack of transparency in where her tax money goes, demanding detailed receipts from the government.
“When you donate to a kid from a foreign country, they give you updates of what they’re doing with your donation,” she said. “I want to know. I want receipts. I want everything.”
She also questioned why New York City streets and the subway system are “always dirty” when she’s paying hefty taxes.
“I’m from New York, the streets is always dirty. It’s one of the dirtiest cities in America. What is ya’ll doing. There’s rats on the damn trains. I know ya’ll not spending it in no damn prison, because ya’ll be giving n——s like two underwear, one jumpsuit for like five months. So what is ya’ll n——s doing with my fucking money?” she yelled.
In another video late last year, Cardi B asked people who owe her money to wait to send her the check until 2018, saying the IRS is “trying to come” for her during tax season.
