A smoky blaze early Tuesday morning severely damaged a Dundalk club featuring dancers who wear bikinis, Baltimore County fire officials said.

Emergency dispatchers received a call just before 5 a.m. from passersby who saw a heavy amount of smoke rising from Bustos on the 4000 block of North Point Boulevard. The first crews on the scene attempted to enter the building but were forced back because of the intensity of the fire, said Lt. John Cromwell Jr., a fire department spokesman.

No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported, Cromwell said. Officials said that the investigation is continuing and that no damage estimates were available at press time.

About 80 firefighters and 20 pieces of equipment were on the scene from Edgemere, Northpoint, Middle River, Dundalk, Essex, Rosedale, Golden Ring, Fullerton and White Marsh stations.

The club features hip-hop and rap music and is sometimes open until 5 a.m., according to an online advertisement for a New Year’s Eve event. The building is owned by a company based in Street called Divas Baltimore LLC, according to the state Department of Assessment and Taxation.
