The first day of the 2020 Democratic National Convention is set to begin on Monday at 9 p.m. EST.
Some of the featured speakers who will kick off the four-night event include Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, and former first lady Michelle Obama. Several Republicans, including former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, are also scheduled to speak under the theme “We the People Putting Country Over Party.”
Democrats are set to nominate Joe Biden for president and Sen. Kamala Harris of California for vice president during the virtual convention.
