Real estate investment firm Federal Capital Partners is moving its headquarters from the District to 5425 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase, the company announced Wednesday.
In explaining the new location, Vice President and Controller Garland Faist pointed to its proximity to the Friendship Heights Metro station. The seven-year lease gives the privately owned firm 5,858 square feet of office space for its 25 employees and offers the potential for five to seven new employees to be hired over the next two years, according to a statement from Montgomery County.
Facilitated in part by the county’s Department of Economic Development, the move has been praised by both Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and Maryland Secretary of Business and Economic Development Christian Johansson.
