Constellation Energy Group’s board of directors received their annual stock bonus this week, according to a series of 11 regulatory filings filed Monday. The documents laid out bonuses paid to 11 of the 12 members of Constellation’s board of directors.
The 12th member, chairman Mayo Shattuck, was not included.
In addition to a $50,000 annual retainer and other payments for heading up board committees, the directors earn $1,500 for each board meeting or board committee meeting attended and an annual stock award of approximately $85,000. According to the filings, most board members opted to take that award as “phantom stock,” a cash bonus based on stock value and paid out once the director leaves the board.
Board member Robert Lawless received the largest number of shares, 5,366 at $26.106 a share for a total of $135,105.55. Douglas Becker, Ann Berzin, Yves De Balmann and John Skolds followed with the same number of shares for the same total price.
Director Nancy Lampton earned 4,696 shares totaling $122,593 and Freeman Hrabowski received 4,409 shares, or $115,105.55.
Four members, James Brady, James Curtiss, Lynn Martin, and Michael Sullivan, each received 3,260 shares totaling $83,695.84. Martin took her bonus as actual shares of Constellation stock, while the other three took “phantom stock.”
