President Trump said Friday the U.S. is prepared to offer any aid New Zealand might need as it copes with the worst mass shooting in the country’s history.
“My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques,” Trump tweeted. “49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!”

Police in Christchurch, New Zealand have arrested three men and one woman who are thought to be behind the plot to shoot up two mosques.
Forty-nine fatalities were confirmed, and police are still investigating the incident.
New Zealand’s prime minister condemned the incident that likely took the lives of several migrants.
“They have chosen to make New Zealand their home, and it is their home,” Jacinda Ardern said. “They are us.”
