President Trump’s childhood home in Queens, New York, is up for auction for the third time since he was elected in November 2016.
The president’s former house has been on and off the market a number of times even before his presidency, most recently with an asking price of $2.9 million. However, now the home is being auctioned off by Paramount Reality USA with an undisclosed reserve price in place. The auction opens on Nov. 14, but no starting bid will be announced.
The five-bedroom, five-bath, Tudor-style home has been put up for auction on two other occasions since Trump’s election in 2016, also overseen by Paramount Realty. The first, in October 2016, was canceled. However, it led to a sale for $1.39 million to a mystery investor who was later identified as real estate mogul Michael Davis of Wareham Holdings LLC. Davis then sold the flipped house to the current owner at an auction in March 2017 for $2.14 million.
In addition to traditional details, the home includes 2,500 square feet of main living space and a 1,100-square-foot basement. It also features a large fireplace in the living room, arched doorways, and hardwood floors throughout the house.
As part of the auction, Paramount also plans to host a contest in which participants will attempt to guess the eventual closing price of the house. Whoever gets the closest with their guess will win a $10,000 prize.
