State officials named the top housing and community development advocates at the 2008 Governor’s Annual Housing Conference, held Tuesday at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Osprey Property Co. won the Rental Housing Sustainability award for its Victoria Park at Walkersville project, Homes for America/Marian House won Special Needs Housing for Serenity Place, the Dundalk Renaissance Corp. won the Community Building award, and Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore Inc. won an award for its Homeownership preservation efforts.
Also, veterinarian Jill Shook won the Small Business Development award for her City Pets business, and Philadelphia-based Pennrose Properties won Partner of the Year for its efforts to produce affordable housing in Baltimore City.
