Hurricane Ian has been downgraded to a tropical storm, but the destruction is still very real.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is urging people to stay home so first responders and repair crews can do their jobs. However, some are not heeding that warning.
Dozens of people have come to St. Augustine Beach, where many were walking close to the water, not seeming to care if they were taken out by a massive wave.

These people are not the first to try and challenge Mother Nature. One sheriff estimated that “fatalities are in the hundreds.” DeSantis said Thursday there’s no confirmed number of deaths so far.
