Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday reacted playfully at American reporter questions about President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“Does the Comey firing cast a shadow over your talks?” MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell asked after Lavrov and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made a brief appearance at the State Department.
“Was he fired? You’re kidding. You’re kidding,” Lavrov deadpanned before tossing his head and turning away.
Under Comey’s leadership, the FBI was investigating whether members of President Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russia during the 2016 election.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs found Lavrov’s reaction notable enough to tweet out.
