Who: Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas What: The long shot candidate for president stormed out of a CNN interview when Gloria Bolger pressed him for answers on why he allowed racist comments to be published under his name in the early 1990s.
Why it’s dim: Don’t schedule an interview with a news organization if you don’t want to answer its questions.
Cure: Paul needs to admit he exercised bad judgment with the newsletters. He should explain when he became aware of the problem, and what (if anything) he did to the employee who had written the offending material.
