Md. robo-caller found on Ehrlich’s payroll

A robo-call that discouraged Maryland Democrats from voting on Election Day has been traced back to a company employed by Republican former governor Bob Ehrlich’s campaign for re-election.

Universal Elections employee Rhonda Russell set up the call through Robodial.org, a Pennsylvania company typically employed by Democrats, The Baltimore Sun first reported.

Ehrlich’s campaign for re-election has paid Universal Elections roughly $32,000 in consulting fees, according to campaign finance records.
