The Trump family has picked a new school for Barron: Report

The Trump family has chosen a school in Potomac, Md., for Barron to attend in the fall, according to a report on Friday.

The first son, who is currently 11 years old and going into middle school, will attend St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Md., according to the Daily Caller.

The decision is a departure from recent first family’s choice of school for their young kids if they stayed in the D.C.-area. Sasha and Malia Obama and Chelsea Clinton attended Sidwell Friends, a Quaker school in Washington, D.C.

According to the school’s official website, St. Andrews Episcopal has a student to teacher ratio of 7:1 with an overall current enrollment of only 580 students.

The Daily Caller reported that if Barron were to complete middle school at St. Andrew’s, he would be required to take part in multiple “service learning activities.” One of which includes a two-day trip to work in a soup kitchen at a church in Washington.

Not unusual for private schools, St. Andrew’s also requires 20 hours of community service for high schoolers in 9th through 11th grades. Sixty hours are required of 12th graders.

Editor’s note: The story has been updated with the correct location of Sidwell Friends.
