WASHINGTON (AP) — Jazz trumpeter and pianist Arturo Sandoval and the band Train will perform at the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony this year, along with singer Janelle Monae and Latin musician Prince Royce.

Organizers announced the first slate of performers Wednesday. They will join President Barack Obama and his family for the tree lighting on Dec. 6 on the Ellipse near the White House.
