Trump condemns ‘radical Democrats’ as ‘pro Al-Qaeda’

President Trump continued his attacks on Rep. Ilhan Omar and her allies, saying they support the terrorist organization al Qaeda.

“We will never be a Socialist or Communist Country. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE, YOU CAN LEAVE! It is your choice, and your choice alone. This is about love for America. Certain people HATE our Country,” Trump said Monday on Twitter. “They are anti-Israel, pro Al-Qaeda, and comment on the 9/11 attack, ‘some people did something.’ Radical Left Democrats want Open Borders, which means drugs, crime, human trafficking, and much more.”

Trump’s statement was an affirmation of a statement he made Monday during his press conference accusing Omar of being pro-al Qaeda.

“I mean I look at the one, I look at Omar, I don’t know her, I never met her. I hear the way she talks about al Qaeda. Al Qaeda has killed many Americans. She said you could hold your chest out,” Trump said. “When I think of America, huh. When I think of al Qaeda, I can hold my chest out. When she talked about the World Trade Center being knocked down, some people, you remember the famous some people. These are people that in my opinion hate our country.”

“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. … every time the professor said ‘al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up,” Omar said.

“But you know… you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she added. “But you say these names [of terrorist groups] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.”

Trump said Sunday that Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan should “go back” and fix the places they came from.
