One man was seen yelling and pleading with a group of protesters in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that they stop the violence amid continued riots following the death of Daunte Wright.

“Don’t you dare start this s—,” the man shouted as he stood between the crowd and police officers. “Not here tonight. Not here tonight.”

People in the crowd shielded themselves behind umbrellas in the video, and the man continued yelling and at one point was seen shaking with anger.

The agitators questioned why they should be “peaceful,” adding, “There’s no such thing as f—ing peaceful! You f—ing killed from the beginning, bro. F— you.”

“They’re the ones that are starting that s—,” one person in the crowd shouted, presumably referring to the police.

It is unclear what prompted the unidentified man to confront the crowd.

The incident comes as violence has spread in the Minneapolis suburb and other cities following the death of Wright, 20, on Sunday.

Police tried to arrest Wright following the discovery that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Wright was seen attempting to flee in his car.

He had recently failed to appear in court on charges that he fled officers in June and was in possession of a gun without a permit, court documents show. He had also previously been charged with first-degree aggravated robbery stemming from a 2019 incident.

The officer who shot Wright, Kim Potter, was charged with second-degree manslaughter and has resigned from the department.
