Organizers of the influential Conservative Political Action Conference haven’t even cut the ribbon to open this week’s megaevent in Orlando, Florida, and they are already making plans for a repeat in Dallas in August.
American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp told Secrets that the second full-scale CPAC will be held in Dallas from Aug. 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole.
Last year, the conservative group followed the same plan, hosting events in Orlando and Dallas.

The Orlando conference starts rolling out headliners tomorrow, and key speakers include former President Donald Trump, who has been promoting his appearance online for over a week.
Last year, he also appeared at the Dallas CPAC and gave a 90-minute address on topics familiar with the pro-MAGA crowd.
This year, the two events not only lead up to, and could influence, the 2022 election but also set the stage for the 2024 presidential election. Typically, candidates begin to announce shortly after the midterm congressional elections.
The CPAC crowds have embraced Trump, who will face speeches in Orlando from potential rivals, notably Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Schlapp noted that both of his conferences are to be held in two conservative states that have had big impacts on national presidential elections: Texas and Florida.
“Two national CPACs from two mega red states,” he said.
