SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A 52-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for plotting to kill his common-law wife, who was shot last year at a South Texas Army post.

Alvin Roundtree was sentenced Friday in San Antonio after earlier pleading guilty to assaulting a federal employee with a deadly weapon.
