President Trump sent his thanks to the New York City Fire Department for putting out a brief fire that broke out at Trump Tower in Manhattan on Saturday.

“Fire at Trump Tower is out. Very confined (well built building). Firemen (and women) did a great job. THANK YOU!” Trump tweeted, confirming social media reports of a fire at the building.

Word of the blaze at Trump’s residence quickly made the rounds on social media after passersby noticed smoke billowing from the 50th floor.

By the end of the day, firefighters said one man was killed and six firefighters received non-life-threatening injuries due to the blaze.
