Conservative commentator Mark Levin said Dr. Anthony Fauci was doing everything he could to undermine President Trump’s chances at reelection.
“Fauci doing all he can to sabotage Trump election with endless dire predictions; the same Fauci who failed the American people by saying early on the coronavirus wasn’t any worse than a flu and told the public not to wear masks,” Levin said on Twitter.
“And to this day has not even commented on the decision by Cuomo and others to send coronavirus positive patients into nursing homes. The same Fauci who blew the swine flu in 2009 with his buddies Obama and Biden. He’s a disgrace and a political hack,” Levin continued.

Levin’s comments came after Fauci told CNBC Wednesday that the United States was going in the wrong direction with the coronavirus pandemic.
“If things do not change, if they continue on the course we’re on, there’s gonna be a whole lot of pain in this country with regard to additional cases and hospitalizations and deaths,” Fauci told CNBC’s Shepard Smith.
Fauci specifically pointed out that the Midwest could see the worst of a virus resurgence.
“They never had the kind of hospital and intensive care facility and flexibility that some of the larger hospitals in larger cities have,” Fauci said. “They’re concerned that if the trajectory continues, they may be in a position where they are going to be strapped for things like intensive care beds.”
COVID-19 cases have continued to surge in Wisconsin, while hospitalizations have increased in Minnesota and Texas.
Fauci, who heads the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has clashed with Trump over how to best handle the virus.
“People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots,” Trump said of Fauci earlier this month. “Every time he goes on television, there’s always a bomb. But there’s a bigger bomb if you fire him. But Fauci’s a disaster.”
