Police on Monday morning arrested a man who allegedly stabbed someone at an Orange Line train station, and then boarded a train headed toward Washington, D.C.
Metro Transit Police arrested the suspect before 10 a.m. when his train was stopped at Rosslyn, the last station in Virginia before the Orange Line train would enter Washington.

“At approximately 7:30 a.m., Metro Transit Police and Fairfax County Police responded to Dunn Loring Station for a reported fight in progress,” Metro said in a statement. “Upon arrival, police and medics found an adult male victim. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
“The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival,” Metro added. “However, technicians in Metro’s Security Operations Control Center were able to broadcast a photo of the suspect to officers in the field, and also determine that the suspect had boarded a specific car of an Orange Line train headed in the direction of New Carrollton.”
“The train was intercepted by Transit Police at Rosslyn and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. A knife was recovered on the suspect,” it said.
Fairfax County Policy tweeted that the stabbing victim was receiving medical attention. It also said the suspect was a black male, aged 40-45 years old, and about 5 feet six 6 inches tall. He was wearing a heavy coat, and was described as having a “heavy African accent.”
