President Trump heads to New Mexico for a campaign rally in Rio Rancho on Monday night.
The rally will be Trump’s first time in New Mexico since his 2016 victory. The stop is part of the Trump campaign’s reelection effort, which believes it can compete in states Democrats have won in recent years including New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota, and Virginia.
Trump lost all four states in 2016 but plans on competing for all four in 2020.
Trump’s speech will likely focus on the strong economy and the president’s effort to build a wall on the southern border.
