ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police continue to search for two missing children after their mother was found and arrested this weekend.
The search continues after authorities located 27-year-old Catherine Hoggle of Clarksburg on Friday night. She told police that her two children are alive and safe, but she didn’t tell authorities where they are.
Hoggle’s children, 3-year-old Sarah Hoggle and 2-year-old Jacob Hoggle, have been missing since last Monday. Hoggle was reported missing as well.
Police say they plan to search eight areas of the Darnestown area on Sunday. On Saturday, police said teams searched 16 areas in the Clarksburg area, but no evidence was recovered.
Police say Hoggle was taken to jail Saturday and is charged with child neglect, obstruction and hindering.
Authorities say Hoggle has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
