Authorities have identified the man killed in an apartment fire in Arlington.
The blaze broke out at an apartment on the 1200 block of North Nash Street shortly after 11:15 p.m. Thursday, according to Arlington County police.
Frederick Cole, 77, was found inside the burning apartment and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No one else was inside at the time.
Police said the cause of the blaze is still under investigation but the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
