Jon Voight: Trump was right about Obama founding ISIS

Jon Voight on Monday defended Donald Trump’s assertion that President Obama “founded” the Islamic State.

“I find in an unusual and sometimes awkward way, he says exactly what needs to be said and tells the truth,” Voight told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

As an example, Voight brought up the time radio host Hugh Hewitt tried to get Trump to clarify what Hewitt thought the Republican nominee meant by his ISIS founder claim.

“When he said to Hugh Hewitt, ‘Obama founded ISIS.’ And Hugh Hewitt said, ‘Because he pulled the troops out and left that vacuum.’ And Donald said, ‘He founded ISIS,'” Voight said.

“People listening to that got an education because so many people don’t know he pulled the troops out. So many people don’t know anything. But the basic truth is without that movement of troops out of Iraq, ISIS would not have come to be.”

Cavuto also asked Voight about the recent high-profile divorce his daughter Angelina Jolie is going through with Brad Pitt, about which Voight refused to comment.
