Kellyanne Conway shoots down Omarosa’s claim that Trump used racial slur against her husband: ‘I simply haven’t heard it’

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway contradicted fired White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman’s claims that President Trump made derogatory claims directed at her husband George Conway.

“I have never heard the president of the United States use a racial slur about anyone. I simply haven’t heard it,” Conway said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I’ve worked alongside him for over two straight years without interruption. I have never once heard him say that about anyone, and I never heard Omarosa complain that she had heard the president say it about anyone either when she was there,” Conway added.

The White House counselor was responding to a question from Fox News’ Martha MacCallum about whether she had heard the president call either Manigault Newman or her husband derogatory names.

“She [Manigault Newman] also has said she heard him call your husband derogatory names as well. Did the president do either of those things, Kellyanne?”

“My husband is half Filipino, and I’ve just never heard that. And I think that matters. Also I think Omarosa missed a great opportunity to take credit for all of the wonderful gains the president has made for people of color,” Conway said.

Conway stressed that her husband “very strongly” denied the accusations that the president directed derogatory language at him because of his race. “The allegation is not credible, and indeed is ridiculous, particularly in light of the timing of her departure from the White House—December 12, 2017,” George Conway tweeted on Friday about assertions in Manigualt-Newman’s book that Trump had used derogatory terms like “flip” and a “goo goo” to describe him.

“It’s absurd all around,” he added.

Manigault Newman claimed in an interview on Friday that she had heard President Trump use the N-word on a tape. The claim reportedly contradicts her forthcoming book, “Unhinged.”

In the tell-all, Manigault Newman reportedly says that she never heard Trump say the N-word during the filming of his reality TV show “The Apprentice,” but had heard from anonymous sources that he had used the racial slur.
