CBS comedy “The Big Bang Theory” beat “American Idol” on Thursday night, the first time in five years that any show has beaten the singing powerhouse. “Big Bang” brought in 16.1 million viewers, while “Idol” came in at 15.4 million — a 14 percent fall from the previous week. “Big Bang” had been flirting with taking over “Idol” for a few weeks.
