Democrat pranks Trump after Chuck Todd ‘Sleepy Eyes’ barb

California Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier on Saturday tried to pull one over on President Trump by posting an April Fools’ Day tweet that said she will be introducing a bill next week to require that the president be supervised while using Twitter.

“I will be introducing a bill next week which will prohibit @POTUS from posting unsupervised tweets,” Speier posted on Twitter. And in good form, she waited two minutes before tweeting out that it was an April Fools’ Day prank.

“Wish I could introduce such a bill,” she said in the subsequent tweet, “#aprilfools #aprilfoolsday.”

The April Fools prank was in response to President Trump’s “Sleepy Eyes” tweet from earlier on Saturday, haranguing NBC News anchor Chuck Todd’s coverage of possible ties between Russia and the Trump administration.

“When will Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd and @NBCNews start talking about the Obama SURVEILLANCE SCANDAL and stop with the Fake Trump/Russia story?” Trump tweeted on Saturday.
