Police arrest 20 outside Nationals Park on Sunday

Police arrested 20 people outside Nationals Park over the weekend, mostly for scalping tickets or illegally selling T-shirts, a spokeswoman said. Sixteen people were arrested for scalping tickets and four people were arrested for vending violations Saturday and Sunday, police spokeswoman Traci Hughes said. Police also seized 38 tickets and more than $5,000. – Scott McCabe

Police ID Glen Burnie teen killed in crash on I-295

A girl who was killed in a crash on I-295 Sunday was identified as Heather Alexis Johnson, 17, of Glen Burnie, police said. Johnson was a passenger in a 1994 BMW that was traveling at high speed just south of Malcolm X Avenue Southwest, when the vehicle lost control and left the roadway, police said. The BMW hit the median strip and overturned, ejecting Heather from the rear passenger seat. The driver of the vehicle, Leondre Cordell Edwards, 24, of Suitland, and the front-seat passenger, Wendy Taylor, 20, of Landover, were transported to anarea hospital in stable condition. – Scott McCabe

Men charged in forcing, aiding prostitution

Fairfax County police have charged three men in a prostitution operation in which they allegedly forced or helped a woman sell herself and collected the earnings. The men “walked away suspiciously” as officers approached the 28-year-old Clifton woman near Glen Carlyn Drive and Bellview Drive on March 13, according to a police statement. Dimer Rodriguez, 23, D’Alesandro Haynie, 19, and Brian Baptista, 20, were arrested after a police investigation. Police are looking for a fourth suspect, 19-year-old Darius Brown. –William C. Flook

BB incidents pepper Loudoun

An Ashburn teen who reported he was assaulted at his bus stop retrieved a BB gun and shot one of his alleged assailants in the face, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday. Deputies are still trying to piece together what happened, as the teen shot in the face left a local hospital before they arrived, Sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell said. On Sunday afternoon, deputies investigated a separate BB incident in which a 15-year-old boy reportedly shot a 13-year-old girl in the head with a BB gun in Aldie. The girl did not seek medical treatment. – Dan Genz
