Trump: Protesting Clinton victory would not lead to violence

Donald Trump proposed protesting a Hillary Clinton Election Day victory as a means of keeping “honesty in elections,” according to an ABC News interview released early Tuesday.

The Republican nominee added that peaceful demonstrations would have a truth-telling effect on the country as opposed to one that could create more tension between parties and possible violence.

ABC’s Tom Llamas asked Trump on Monday if he was worried that protesting election results in the case of a Clinton win, could prohibit a peaceful transfer of power.

“No, I think people want to see honesty in elections,” Trump responded. “They don’t want to see people voting … five times or 10 times like we have in many communities … There’s tremendous voter fraud and we really want it stopped and it can make a difference between winning and losing an election.”

Trump has recently focused his campaign message on his team’s fight against the “rigged” system, in which the media, Democratic Party and corporations are all allegedly conspiring together.
